Sonja Williams is the Founder & CEO of Sunshai Community Management, a  

boutique HOA management firm serving communities in Minnesota and expanding into Las Vegas, Nevada.

With over 16 years of experience in community association management, Sonja has built her career on disciplined financial oversight, operational structure, and transparent leadership. Her approach goes beyond routine management — she focuses on long-term stability, proactive governance, and elevating the standards boards should expect from their management partner.

Recognizing the gaps in high-volume, portfolio-driven management models, Sonja founded Sunshai with a clear mission: deliver high-touch service without sacrificing financial rigor.

 By intentionally limiting portfolios, she ensures each community receives focused attention, strategic guidance, and responsive support.

Sonja is known for her structured approach to budgeting, transition management, and compliance oversight. She believes that strong communities are built on clear communication, accountability, and proactive leadership.

Under her leadership, Sunshai continues to grow thoughtfully — serving select associations that value transparency, professionalism, and executive-level management.

Sonja is a mother of two adult children, a grandmother and a dog mom to her shih tzu pup.

Sonja is a volunteer with CAI MN Chapter, hosts numerous board education events, has a publication in CAI Community Manager magazine, and wrote her first published eBook.

When Sonja isn't working, she enjoys time with her family, crochet, knit, and making delicious meals in the kitchen.

Jorden serves as the financial backbone of Sunshai Community Management. Adapting at managing the financial operations of the HOA's that we manage. Jordan meticulously handles accounting, budgeting, and reporting providing board members with clear financial insights. With a strong background in accounting and a keen eye for detail, Jordan ensures accuracy and transparency in all financial matters.

Jordan is happily married with three children, and family is the foundation of his life. Whether he's helping with homework, cheering his daughters at weekend games, or enjoying family road trips, Jordan values the same balance and stability at home that he brings to Sunshai's financial strategies. His family-first mindset gives him a grounded perspective that resonates with the communities that we serve.

Jordan and his family share their home with their two golden retrievers who are much part of the family as anyone else does.

Jessie (Jess) serves as business development as is an accomplished executive administrative professional and business operations leader with more than 20 years of experience supporting senior leadership and managing high-level office operations. 

Jess brings a strong background in executive support, business development coordination, and financial administration, including accounts receivable and payable through QuickBooks.

Known for her strategic thinking, organizational leadership, and ability to streamline complex workflows, Jess plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and effective communication across teams. She has proven ability to manage competing priorities, maintain strict confidentiality, and implement systems that improve productivity and support organizational growth.

Jess is recognized for her professionalism, reliability, and proactive approach to problem solving. Her combination of executive support expertise, operational insight, and financial coordination allows her to contribute meaningful value to leadership teams and organizations focused on efficiency, growth, and long-term success.
